Toastmasters Club
Set in the superb parklands of North Adelaide, our club meets in the Board Room of the Heritage-listed Memorial Hospital. There are two entrances, the main entrance is on Sir Edwin Smith Ave., and the other on Kermode St. opposite the Womens and Childrens Hospital.
Within the most prestigious location in the whole of Adelaide, our meeting place is near St. Peter's Cathedral, not far from Light's Vision, and only a short walk from the University of Adelaide, that has has a tradition of excellence in learning.
This is a reflection of OUR CLUB'S VISION, which is to develop our members' full speaking potential.
In OUR CLUB, age is no barrier to life-long learning. Stan Blackford (retired) now in his 90th year initiated the Toastmaster movement in South Australia and achieved his gold medal in communications before retiring. Present members include students of all ages who are developing professional presentations relating to tertiary studies, and other members who simply enjoy the gatherings, and some of these have now become mentors.
Come and visit us, and learn how to sharpen your business skills including those of Chairmanship, polish your presentation technigues and hone your listening and evaluation skills. Our truly international club has members from Australia, China, England, Japan, Vietnam and other places and will contribute to your memorable journey of learning, through our fun-filled evenings.
Further information, on how we can help you specifically, is to be found on the "Contact Us" page.
